Injection Molding
Injection molding is typically used in mass-production and prototyping. It is the procedure in which melted plastic is forced into a mold, which can then be ejected when it has cooled.
Assorted Plastics expertise has pioneered the introduction of hot runner multi-cavity molds. We have a comprehensive mold maintenance program.
Injection Blow Molding
Injection Blow Molding (IBM) involves three stages: injection, blowing and ejection. In IBM, polymers are injection molded onto a ‘core pin’ and then sent for blow molding. In blow molding, they are inflated and then cooled.
Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM)
Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM) involves molding the plastic into a ‘preform’ using the Injection Molding procedure. When these preforms are produced, they include the necks of the bottles as well as threads, known as the finish. These preforms are then cooled and put through the Blow Molding process. In the ISBM process, the preforms are heated above their glass transition temperature and then using blow molds, they are subjected to high-pressure air and blown into bottles. Typically, the preform is stretched with a core rod during the process.
Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM)
Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) involves melting the plastic and forcing it into a hollow tube known as a parison. A cold metal mold then encloses it. As air is blown into the parison, it inflates, taking the shape of the mold. After the plastic has cooled, the mold is opened and the part is ejected.
